Re-launched in February 2009
The Jerwood Foundation contributed, with the Arts Council for England, towards the £46,000 needed by Notes from the Underground to re-launch as a monthly free creative writing paper in February 2009.
Notes, as it is affectionately known, is a 24 page free title dedicated to culture with entertaining, considered, and thoughtful arts-based content. With a print run of 75,000 Notes is distributed at over 35 underground stations, at 300 stores nationwide including over 50 branches of Waterstone's, as well as a range of art galleries, theatres, hotels, universities, cafes and other retail outlets.
