The Jerwood Charitable Foundation is a UK registered charity dedicated to imaginative and responsible revenue funding of the arts, supporting artists to develop and grow at important stages in their careers. It works with artists across art forms, from dance and theatre to literature, music and the visual arts.
Established by the Jerwood Foundation in 1999 with an endowment of £25 million, Jerwood Charitable Foundation seeks and proactively initiates imaginative projects with a broad range of exceptional organisations and individuals in the UK. It also develops and manages Jerwood Visual Arts, a year-round contemporary gallery programme of exhibitions, awards and events hosted at Jerwood Space and on tour nationally. Jerwood Charitable Foundation is directed by Shonagh Manson.
